You will be asked by your solicitor to transfer your deposit (usually 10% of the sale price) into their account, once all the paperwork has been finalised. You and the Seller will both sign the final contract and agree on ‘Completion’ date. Your deposit will be then transferred to your Seller’s solicitor.
Your Solicitor will arrange for the Bank or Building Society to transfer the remaining balance of the purchase price into their account. They will then in transfer it to the Sellers solicitors account upon Completion. The keys are then released by the estate agents, to you.
